This is Agnès, the inventor of Papado
Agnès is first and foremost a mother of three boys who is very strict about hygiene. While trying to clean her toilet, she realized how complex and time-consuming it was to do it properly. Traditional screw systems are a real breeding ground for bacteria, impossible to clean correctly without dismantling everything.
One question then came to her: how can this task be made simpler and faster? That’s how the clip-on toilet seatPAPADO was born!
This is Arnaud, her greatest ally
Arnaud, Agnès’s husband, was the first to be won over by her invention. He decided to join the company and dedicate all his energy and time to it. Together, they travelled across France to introduce their innovative and ultra-hygienic toilet seat to both individuals and professionals...
and it was a real success. TV reports, interviews, they were everywhere, and their invention was about to revolutionize toilet maintenance!
Thanks to the PAPADO toilet seat, no more arguments about who has to do the cleaning. Today, their system is already installed on more than 200,000 toilets worldwide.
This is Romane, their stepdaughter
Romane joined the PAPADO adventure on December 1, 2024. Energetic, meticulous and always smiling, she approaches every project with enthusiasm. Thanks to her organization and precision, she contributes every day to keeping the company running efficiently.

When we launched PAPADO, it wasn’t to please the marketing world but to improve everyday life. The idea emerged in 2011, when our founder, tired of struggling to clean a toilet, thought: “why not invent a seat that detaches with one click, without screws, without hassle, and that’s easy to clean?” That’s how the first PAPADO clip-on toilet seat was born, the result of a real need and practical common sense.
An idea born from a real everyday need
Since then, we haven’t stopped at that first success. We’ve put our whole heart into every step: smart, simple design; manufacturing in Normandy; and the choice of durable, recyclable materials. Every seat, every toilet lid, every PAPADO accessory carries the same commitment: to be practical, durable and pleasant to use.
An innovation recognized and awarded at the Lépine competition
What makes us proud is also this recognition: the PAPADO toilet seat was awarded a gold medal at the Lépine Competition, and its inventor was named “Best Woman Inventor” by the World Intellectual Property Organization, a true sign that our idea wasn’t just useful but meaningful.
And the story doesn’t end there. At PAPADO, we constantly improve and expand what we do. We listen to the feedback of those who use our products, what they enjoy, what could be improved, so that every new version becomes simpler, stronger and more comfortable.
