Before purchasing your Papado clip-on toilet seat or lid, it’s best to make sure your toilet bowl is a good fit. No stress, it only takes a few minutes and we explain everything step by step.
Measurements for standard toilets
Width of a standard toilet bowl
The first thing to check is the width of your toilet bowl at the level of the two holes from the previous fixing.
The maximum width must be 31 cm for the Classic model, measured from outer edge to outer edge.
Why is this important? If the bowl is wider, the seat will not clip on properly.
On our visuals, this distance is indicated by an orange line between the two points.
Width at the middle of the bowl
You need to check the width at the middle of the toilet bowl, measured from outer edge to outer edge. It must be between:
- Minimum width: 34.5 cm
- Maximum width: 37 cm
Total length of the toilet bowl
Finally, you must also check the length of the bowl, from the outer front edge to the flush tank, or to the wall if your toilet is wall-hung (the turquoise line in our illustrations).
- Minimum length: 47 cm
